2021 Approaches

How are you feeling at nearly the end of 2020?

Are you excited as 2021 approaches?  Or are you disappointed that it is the end of 2020 and you feel no closer to what you really want in life?  Did it just speed past and you feel like you let yourself down?  I know that feeling, I lived it myself!

In the past week, I coached several clients who came to me several months ago because they just felt sad frequently.  They felt were stuck in a cycle of looking after everyone else rather than themselves, and they were not getting the balance, relationships and the pleasure in their work and life they wanted.

Over the past weeks, we have been working through an approach we call the ‘Jenga’.  It involves a fun but sometimes challenging journey into what’s really important and how they get the results they want.  We break everything down into small, simple pieces, and between coaching sessions, they work on what is important to them.

What do I give them they can’t do themselves?

I give them:

  1. Faster results than on their own (5X)
  2. The space to reflect on progress and learn
  3. The structure to keep them accountable to themselves
  4. A cheerleader with no other agenda than their success
  5. Out of comfort zone experience (getting comfortable with being uncomfortable)

In the past few months, I can see the shift because they identified where they are not living what’s truly important and then are changing behaviours. They are creating more exercise, better eating, deliberate relationships, more activity that is meaningful to them.  They made these changes of their own accord because they wanted them.

Voila; the relationships and their pleasure in life and work is now 2X.  It will be 5X by the time we complete the programme we have started.

Last year I had so many people say to me “Oh I’ll look into some coaching next year”  I have 2020 hindsight now that lets me know it ended in more procrastination and less support for them over the stressful end of year and holiday season.

I would love to support more people as 2021 approaches to feel excited about it and what it will bring.  Life is short – so book a complimentary consult and let’s talk about what you want…
